Einride is all about intelligent movement: safe, cost-efficient and truly sustainable transportation.
Just one year ago, one could be excused for thinking it couldn’t be done.
There is no excuse anymore.
It’s happening right now.
Today, DB Schenker and Einride announced they will install the world´s first self-driving electric transport system for heavy transports on public roads – already this fall. The agreement includes the installation of one pilot at a facility in Sweden, with the option of additional pilots globally.
As reported by TechCrunch, the T-pod will use the NVIDIA DRIVE platform to power its autonomous driving systems. The announcement came as Einride participated at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Francisco, California.
GTC is the premier AI and deep learning event, where the latest breakthroughs in self-driving cars, smart cities, healthcare, big data, high-performance computing, virtual reality and more is located.
On The Road
Along with the GTC event, Einride hosted a mingle at the Nordic Innovation House, Einride´s base in Silicon Valley (short video below).
In May, Einride will celebrate 200 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and the United States by participating at the Executive Forum, hosted by SACC-USA, together with high-level representation from the Swedish and the American Administration, as well as company executives from both countries.
