The overall reception of the T-pod was very positive. Of course, the question we received many times was, “How does the driver fit in there?!” Once we explained the self-driving and remote driving capabilities they were very eager to learn more. When they weren’t asking about it, everyone from kids, adults, and politicians were taking photos with the T-pod!

Einride’s April Update

April was a very exciting month for Einride.  As most of you know, our launch that took place at the beginning of the month was a success.  We were featured in hundreds of articles all around the globe.

In case you missed anything, here is a summary of our launch:

The Launch of Einride

On April 6th, we officially launched what we have been working on to the world. We have created a technologically advanced system including the world’s first T-pod which will change the future of the transport industry and improve the sustainability of humankind.  In addition to the T-pod, there will be charging stations and an infrastructure that will make the system the most pioneering of its kind.

The T-pod is an electric, self-driving vehicle that can be remotely controlled by drivers.  Below is an image and specifications of the T-pod, click here to learn more:

Einride’s launch marks a global transition from heavy, noisy trucks with monstrous emissions and bad working conditions to emission-free, noise reduced trucks that allow workers to operate on a standard schedule closer to home.

Einride in the Media!

The launch of Einride and the T-pod earlier this month caught the attention from news outlets all around the globe.  It has been such an exciting time for Einride, and we are happy that so many people understand and support what we are doing.

In case you missed any of our media coverage, here are a select group of articles we at Einride think you will enjoy!

Title: Einride’s electric self-driving T-pod is a new kind of freight transport vehicle.

TechCrunch was one of the first news sites to pick-up on our launch which was very exciting.  The article was mostly a technical analysis of the T-pod and Einride’s mission.

The article is posted here.

Title: Will driverless trucks pass these guys by? One Swedish start-up is betting theirs

Following TechCrunch, we were featured in the Washington Post with a perspective analysis on our mission.  The writer brought up excellent questions about the T-pod and the functionality of Einride’s transport solution.  It was great that the author understood the benefits for the drivers of the T-pod and the environment.

The article is posted here.

Title: This Driverless Electric Pod Is The Delivery Guy Of The Future. The T-pod is so autonomous, it doesn’t even have room for a driver.

Right away, the author of the article saw the benefits of the T-pod.  A great quote from the article is:

“Since a truck hauling 20 tons of freight needs a lot of energy to move, it has to stop fairly frequently to charge; the T-pod can make it 124 miles before it has to plug in again. For other electric semis, charging time is a bigger deterrent, because it’s also wasting a driver’s time.”

They got the understanding that this is not just about a truck, it is about a whole new transport system.

The article is posted here.

Title: Meet T-pod, an autonomous electric truck that can also be controlled remotely.

This VentureBeat article was really in-depth and well written.  They did not just focus on the T-pod, but they also focused on how this new system of transportation will actually work.

The article is posted here.

Those are just a select few of articles that we were featured in and we recommend you to check all of them out!  Thank you for reading and if you have any suggestions or find other interesting articles about us or the T-pod let us know!

Meet the T-pod

The T-pod is an electric, self-driving vehicle that can be remotely controlled by drivers.  In addition to the T-pod, there will be charging stations and an infrastructure that will make the system the most pioneering of its kind.

Our launch marks a global transition from heavy, noisy trucks with monstrous emissions and bad working conditions to emission-free, noise reduced trucks that allow workers to operate on a standard schedule closer to home.

The T-pods will start running between the cities of Gothenburg and Helsingborg, Sweden and the first active system will cover a capacity of 2,000,000 pallets per year. That corresponds to 400,000 passenger cars on the same route. Even better, all of this will run with few to no emissions.

STHLM Tech Meetup!

This Monday, the Einride team was in Stockholm to be a part of the STHLM Tech Meetup.  We met so many amazing people and it was great to see so much talent under one roof.  Our CEO Robert represented Einride up on stage to show everybody what we are all about.

Our mission definitely caught the attention of the room and sparked a great interest.  It very rarely happens that someone comes up on stage with such ambition and says that they can and they will change the future of transport!  Although what we are doing seemed to be a little overwhelming to the audience at first, you could hear the “A-ha!” moments around the room when they really understood what we can accomplish.

One of the responses that we saw on social media was that Einride was “one of the most exciting companies that has ever pitched in #sthlmtech meetup“.  We are happy that so many of you can see the potential of how Einride can make an impact on the transport industry.
